Map and Directions

In 1996 our Congregation celebrated the Centenary of its foundation.

Mother Niland, our Foundress, was born in South Africa in 1860 and after years of heroic service to the Church, died at Rosary Priory, Bushey Heath, Herts, in 1947.

We decided to build the Niland Conference Centre to honour the memory of our Foundress and all our Sisters who, for over a hundred years, spread the Good News of the Gospel. These valiant women responded to the needs of their day. We continue to follow and accept the challenges of ministry in the Church and society of our times.

"We approach the future with hope, in the spirit of compassion and in the pursuit of Truth."

We trust that the Niland Conference Centre will be a place where knowledge can be extended and where people can come to reflect and to pray. Our aim is to offer opportunities and facilities for:

  • Dominican events
  • Retreat days
  • Parish Pastoral Programmes
  • In service training days for school staff
  • Meetings/conferences
  • Exhibitions
